There's a new Idaho Record Cutbow!
This is one heck of a big cutbow!
Hailey Thomas was fishing with her husband at Henry's Lake, located in the pristine waters of gold medal trout fishing opportunities in Idaho, when she hooked into the biggest cutbow ever caught and released in the state. Measure out to 36-inches, this fish was a true monster trout.
“Hailey did a phenomenal job fighting the fish and keeping it out of the abundant weeds, notorious for knocking large trout off the line,” Shane Thomas, Hailey's husband, said in a press release. “After a stressful minute or so, I reached out and scooped up the fish. The net I usually use for chasing carp looked so small, as the fish barely fit in it.”
What an incredible catch, There's still plenty of time left in the year to get out chase a record of your own. Right now is the time that big fish are putting on the feed bag to get ready for winter. This time of year always seems to be when the most records are broken. Just make sure you are plenty fueled up with some great tasting coffee to make it that much better.
