La Trucha - (Single Origin from Mexico)
La Trucha means the trout—which seemed like an appropriate name for a coffee grown in the mountains of Chiapas and Oaxaca in Mexico.
This organic, single-origin Mexican coffee is grown at 900–1,000 meters and roasted medium to bring out a smooth, balanced cup with notes of chocolate, cinnamon, and green apple.
And yes, those are actual tasting notes. We didn't sit around the office trying to convince ourselves we detected hints of antique leather, freshly sharpened pencils, or a gentle rain falling on the streets of Guadalajara.
La Trucha doesn't need any of that.
It's an easy-drinking, medium-bodied coffee with enough character to be interesting without requiring you to discuss it for twenty minutes. Kind of like fly fishing when nobody's filming it for social media. Brew a cup. Find some water. Go see what's rising.
