Yes, this chicken noodle soup recipe is awesome!
Recently, we've been on a chicken noodle soup kick. One, it's about the only thing my son Walton, age 7, will eat. That, and hotdogs. So, we make lots of chicken noodle soup! This recipe is super easy to make. If you've got an insta-pot or a slow cooker, you are in business.
This recipe only calls for a handful of ingredients. You can also add more or less depending on your tastes, it still works out just fine.
Chicken Noodle Soup
- 1 32 oz carton chicken bone broth
- 1 32 oz carton chicken broth
- 4-6 chicken breast cutlets
- 1 cup rice
- 1 pack fresh poultry herbs from the vegetable section
- fresh chopped celery
- fresh small sliced carrots
- pepper to taste
To get this recipe rolling, just combine everything together in a crock pot or instant pot and cook for 3-4 hours or so until the the chicken is fully cooked and begins to fall apart (30 minutes in insta-pot). Remove the stems from the fresh poultry herbs, and then shred the chicken.
By this time the vegetables should be soft, if not, just cook a little longer, but that's about it. you are already ready to eat.
This tastes very similar to what you'd get out of can, but a lot healthier, less sodium, and overall better for you.
Make sure you chase it all down with a nice hot cup of coffee for desert!
