Coffee Ice Cubes - Why didn't I think of that?
And why didn't we think of this sooner?
Recently, we were down in Key West on a fishing trip with Walton Rods. We fished with Feeling Fishy Charters and had a blast chasing bonefish and permit. If you haven't fished the Keys yet, make that a destination because it's something you'll never forget. Well, after getting off the water during a late morning before the heat of the day took over, we stopped in a local coffee shop called The Cuban Coffee Queen. They served us iced coffee with iced cubes made from frozen coffee. What an idea.
Once the lady at the counter served up the order, it clicked on their process and I made a surprised comment about it. The lady looked at me like I was an idiot and everybody else in line did also. Apparently, growing up in Indiana, we don't get out much.
We still have some heat left in the summer so the next time you are making a home brew iced coffee, do yourself a favor and freeze some coffee ice cubes the night before. No more watered down taste for you, haha.
